Employee of the Week at Central Middle

Valerie Hunt, a Central Middle School ELA fifth and sixth grade teacher, was named Employee of the Week for Oct. 30-Nov. 3 week. Hunt is a second year teacher at Central Middle and is a Lead Teacher for English Language Arts.

Most Improved students at Central Middle

Several Central Middle School students were recognized by their teachers for exhibiting great improvement in social choices as well as academics. Students received McDonald’s gift certificates as their reward and hard work.

Class Act Student of the Week

This week’s Student of the Week is Matthew Myers, a senior at Eunice High School. His parents are Stephanie Smith and Brandon Vidrine. If you had to live in another part of the world, where would you want to live and why? I would like to live in Florida so I could go to the beach anytime I wanted.

Ryan Simon & Acadien at Liberty

The “Rendez-vous des Cajuns” Cajun Music Radio & TV show Saturday at the Liberty Center at 6 p.m. will feature a performance by Ryan Simon & Acadien. Show starts at 6 p.m. The Liberty opens at 4 p.m. Tickets are $5 for adults, and children ages 7 to 12 are $3.

Aloisio, Frey exchange vows during evening ceremony

St. Michael The Archangel Catholic Church in Crowley was the setting for the evening ceremony uniting Andrea Michelle Aloisio of Lafayette and Jason Lawrence Frey of Iota in Holy Matrimony.
