BATON ROUGE — Louisiana gardeners in need of motivation to get in the dirt and “get it growing” only need to look to their calendars.

Halen Jack and Caitlin Huval of Eunice announce the birth of their daughter, Kallie Mae Jack, born at Acadian Medical Center on Nov. 19 weighing 6 pounds and 14.8 ounces.
Maternal grandparents are Beau and Keesha Huval of Eunice.
Paternal grandparents are Jessie and Nora Jack of Eunice.
The “Rendez-vous des Cajuns” Cajun Music Radio & TV show Saturday at the Liberty Center at 6 p.m. will feature a Special Christmas Show performance by Steve Riley & Mamou Playboys.

The City of Eunice will celebrate a festival parade and program and invites the public to an event, “Black Women Achievement Against The Odds” on Sunday, Jan. 28.
The keynote speaker and parade marshal will be Colonel Dr. Gwendolyn Hebert Thompson, a Eunice native.
