Annual Noel On The Prairie

Be there or be square! From the very first one, my daughters and I visited the Eunice Noel on the Prairie shopping event. This weekend, Saturday, and some merchants will open Sunday, will be the 18th annual Noel on The Prairie in Eunice.

Employee of the Week at Central Middle

Central Middle School honored its Employee of the Week for the week of Oct. 23. Lauren Schoeffler, a fifth-grade math, technology coordinator, and Core Lead teacher, has been a faculty member at the middle school campus for the past five years.

Teacher of the Year at Highland Elementary

Highland Elementary named its Teacher of the Year for 2017-2018. Jaimie Lavergne, a pre-k teacher, was chosen and recognized during the school’s first Synergy Assembly held in October. Lavergne has been teaching at Highland for the past six years and in the educational system for the past 18 years.

Special guest at Eunice Ladies Pickleball

The Eunice Ladies Pickleball League had a surprise visit Nov. 1 from Bob Bauerle of Big Arm, Montana. Bob and his wife Pat are Ambassadors for the USAPA pickleball. The couple were on a cross country tour with Pat riding her bicycle and Bob following with a motor home RV.

The Savoy Family Band & Steve Riley at Liberty

The “Rendez-vous des Cajuns” Cajun Music Radio & TV show Saturday at the Liberty Center at 6 p.m. will feature performances by The Savoy Family Band & Steve Riley as a fundraiser for Coz Fontenot. Show starts at 6 p.m. The Liberty opens at 4 p.m.
