La Recolte at Liberty Center Saturday

The “Rendez-vous des Cajuns” Cajun Music Radio & TV show Saturday at the Liberty Center at 6 p.m. will feature a performance by La Recolte. Show starts at 6 p.m. The Liberty opens at 4 p.m. Tickets are $5 for adults, and children ages 7 to 12 are $3. Children, 6, and under, admission is free.

Top Math Cats at Eunice Elementary

A physics project at St. Ed

Fusilier, Timpa exchange vows during evening ceremony

St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church in Lake Charles served as the setting for an evening ceremony uniting Jenna Laine Fusilier and John Paul Timpa II in Holy Matrimony. The ceremony was held at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 14 with the Reverend Keith Pellerin officiating.

Eunice High senior animal project

Eunice High seniors, Christian Watson, left, Choyce Schannette and Brandon Babineaux did their senior project by holding bake sales at school for both lunches, and with the proceeds they bought dog collars, dog food, shampoo, toys and treats to St. Landry Animal Shelter in Opelousas on Oct. 16.

East Elementary students ‘Use Their Head’

As part of East Elementary’s Drug Awareness week activities, students and faculty were asked to dress accordingly, and some days with crazy hair or hats. The slogan for Wednesday, Oct. 25, was “Use Your Head - Don’t Do Drugs.
