The Band Courtbouillon on main stage at Experience Louisiana Fest

On Saturday the “Rendez-vous des Cajuns” Cajun Music Show, the only show of its kind, will be featured on the Main Stage of the Experience Louisiana Festival on the campus of Louisiana State University at Eunice. The two day festival will open at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 28 and at 6 p.m.

Eunice Player’s Theatre presents “Christmas Belles” Nov. 2-Nov. 11

From the writers of “The Dixie Swim Club,” comes another comedy starring the Futrelle Sisters, Frankie, Twink, and Honey Raye. Directors Kristi Burleigh and Annette Harrington of this comedy extends an invite to the Eunice Players’ Theatre for the holiday production of “Christmas Belles”.

Bulb Garden of the Week chosen

Ed and Sue Caswell’s home at 241 Rue Normandie in Eunice received the Eunice Bulb & Blossom Garden of the Week marker presented by volunteer Angie Leger.

Big Ideas Math at St. Edmund High School

St. Edmund High is in its second year of a 1-to-1-student/computer initiative for high school students. In addition to the introduction of computers, St. Edmund adopted Big Ideas Math for the 2017-18 school year. The new math curriculum is enhanced with the incorporation of technology.

Eunice Elementary students create land forms

Rebecca Miller’s second grade science class at Eunice Elementary has learned more about landforms. Students were given salt dough and had the opportunity to choose which land form they wanted to sculpt. Salt dough is a mixture of flour, salt and water.

Eunice observes and prays during ‘America Needs Fatima’

As the bell tower at Saint Anthony’s Catholic Church in Eunice rang in the noon hour on Oct. 14, Catholics and Christians at three locations within the city and hundreds of other places in the central time zone pleaded for the help of our Blessed Mother in obtaining peace for America.

East Elementary students learn about fire safety

East Elementary Pre-k, first and second graders had the opportunity to learn more about fire safety from Eunice firefighters Christian Walker and Chaise Brown. The firefighters talked at length about their job duties, fire safety tips, and demonstrated fire equipment and gear.
