Acadia DAR guests of Sovereign Nation of Coushatta Tribe

Acadia Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution were guests of the Sovereign Nation of the Coushatta Tribe of Louisiana in Elton. Regent, Charlene Lacombe and Jonas John, Director of the Heritage Department of the Coushatta Tribe, planned an educational program for Oct. 12.

Safety tips for trick-or-treaters

The city of Eunice will have Trick-or-Treat for children from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Also on the the same day and times our 2nd Street merchants will hand out candy and other goodies for Trick-or-Treaters to enjoy.

The Eunice High School Alumni Association gave back to the high school from some of the proceeds from the annual August Softball Tournament.

The Band Courtbouillon on main stage at Experience Louisiana Fest

On Saturday the “Rendez-vous des Cajuns” Cajun Music Show, the only show of its kind, will be featured on the Main Stage of the Experience Louisiana Festival on the campus of Louisiana State University at Eunice. The two day festival will open at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 28 and at 6 p.m.

Eunice Player’s Theatre presents “Christmas Belles” Nov. 2-Nov. 11

From the writers of “The Dixie Swim Club,” comes another comedy starring the Futrelle Sisters, Frankie, Twink, and Honey Raye. Directors Kristi Burleigh and Annette Harrington of this comedy extends an invite to the Eunice Players’ Theatre for the holiday production of “Christmas Belles”.

Bulb Garden of the Week chosen

Ed and Sue Caswell’s home at 241 Rue Normandie in Eunice received the Eunice Bulb & Blossom Garden of the Week marker presented by volunteer Angie Leger.
