St. Edmund second-graders take field trip to Prairie Acadian Culture Center

Recently St. Edmund’s second grade students in Mary Joubert and Ali Cormier’s classes visited the Prairie Acadian Cultural Center. The field trip was a culmination of their social studies unit on Louisiana and to learn more about the Acadians who settled the prairie of Southwest Louisiana.

This week’s Student of the Week is Zanaya Guillory, a sophomore at Eunice High School. Her parents are Ella and Leroy Allen. If you had to live in another part of the world, where would you want to live and why? I would like to live in Florida because of the climate. Do you have a career wish?

Haley LaFleur Shane and Elizabeth LaFleur of Eunice announce the birth of their daughter, Haley Elizabeth LaFleur, born at Acadian Medical Center on May 1 weighing 6 pounds and 7 ounces. Maternal grandparents are Chris and Hedy Pitre of Eunice.

Simple tricks to satisfy picky eaters
