Couple’s Retreat speaker at Acadian Baptist

The “Rendez-vous des Cajuns” Cajun Music Radio & TV show Saturday at the Liberty Center at 6 p.m. will feature a performance by Lee Benoit & The Family Band. Show starts at 6 p.m. The Liberty opens at 4 p.m. Tickets are $5. Starting at 10 a.m.

Children and allowance

When my two daughters were young girls their father and I taught them to earn their allowance each week. They each had different household chores to do. They were simple, such as cleaning their room, picking up their toys, dusting the furniture and washing dishes.

Such Fun group enjoy and depict an era movie

(Submitted article) On April 6 an exciting kick-off for the opening of the “Best Years of Such Fun” Picture Show was held at Danny and PamKoch’s resident in Eunice. Upon arrival the guests could gather and socialize in an outdoor scene depicting the 1930’s depression in Yazoo, Mississippi.

Kindergartener wins first

Jaiden Guidry, a kindergarten student at Eunice Elementary, won the VFW sponsored coloring contest. He placed first local, first in district and third at state level. He also received a $50 check from local and district levels. Guidry is pictured with Auxiliary Chairperson Bernita Briscoe.

CDA essay winners named

St. Edmund announced its winners of the Catholic Daughters of America contest. Left, Mark Fruge won second place in Division II essay; and William Driggs placed third in the Division II essay contest.

JA of Eunice and Crown Club members at Eunice Park

The Junior Auxiliary of Eunice and Crown Club members recently hosted a community-wide Easter egg hunt at the Eunice Circle Park. Many children enjoyed egg hunts, crafts, games, and other fun activities.
