Junior Auxiliary of Eunice and Welders Equipment donates $150 each to support Katie Richard and Belly Buddies. The mission of the “Belly Buddies” program is to provide “Belly Bags” full of nutritious foods to students in need on Friday afternoons, providing them with foods that are easy to prepare and will last the entire weekend. Examples of the contents include: cereal, fruit cups, granola bars, Easy Mac, Spagetti-O’s, etc. The goal is to give to the children every week, so donations are always welcome. BATON ROUGE – The Children’s Garden at the LSU AgCenter Botanic Gardens at Burden has announced a series of special events for the coming year.
The Children’s Garden Series will feature hands-on activities for 6-to-12-year-olds on Saturday mornings in January, February, May, June, September and November, said AgCenter fruit and vegetable specialist Kiki Fontenot.

The “Rendez-vous des Cajuns” Cajun Music Radio & TV show Saturday at the Liberty Center at 6 p.m. will feature a performance by Richard Lebouf & Two Step.
Doors open at 5 p.m. Show starts at 6 p.m.
Advanced tickets are $15.
Starting at 10 a.m. at the Jean Lafitte, children can participate in arts and crafts, all free of charge.
