Eunice Players’ first production of season Play On opens April 20

Rehearsals are in full swing in downtown Eunice, as The Eunice Players’ Theatre is preparing to present “Play On” by Rick Abbott as its first production of the 48th season.
“Play On” by Rick Abbot, will be directed by Annette Harrington of Eunice and Jimmy Broussard of Crowley, both members of the local theatre’s board of directors.
This comedy is a play within a play as the characters present a lively look at the ins and outs of play production and behind the scenes rehearsals of bringing a play before the public.

A Eunice High documentary senior project

Eunice High School seniors Kyonna Freeman, Thelma Guillory, Keeona Ned and Kirsten Guidry did their senior project as a documentary of Eunice High School. They recorded students, principals and teachers and asked them different things around the high school. They asked about sports, the fallen classmates and also many other interesting things. The seniors did this documentary video in hopes that it will influence the upcoming freshmen who will attend high school. The seniors are with their mentor Kenya Alfred. (Submitted Photo)

This week’s Student of the Week is Alexander Manuel, a sophomore at Eunice High School. His parents are Mike and Monica Manuel.

If you had to live in another part of the world, where would you want to live and why? I would like to live in Russia because that’s where I was adopted from.

Do you have a career wish? I would like to become a petroleum engineer or a physical therapist.

What could you eat seven days a week? Any kind of steak.

What could you never eat? Spaghetti.
