Healthy living is focus of LaSalle Parish day camp program

By Karol Osborne, kosborne@agcenter.lsu.edu JENA — LaSalle Parish families who participated in a recent day camp program found the perfect recipe for summer fun: combining walking, yoga and games with tasty snacks and health lessons. It was all part of the Healthy LaSalle!

Summer fun times at the library

Birth Announcements

Jordyn Pate Trestan Pate of Elton announces the birth of her daughter, Jordyn Belle Pate, born at Acadian Medical Center on June 26 weighing 6 pounds and 4.6 ounces. Maternal grandparents are Wayne Pate of Mittie, Dale and Tammy Marsh of Elton. Great-grandmother is Sue Pate of Mittie.

Richard LeBouef at the Liberty Saturday

The “Rendez-vous des Cajuns” Cajun Music Radio & TV show Saturday at the Liberty Center at 6 p.m. will feature a performance by Richard LeBouef & the Two Step. Show starts at 6 p.m. The Liberty opens at 4 p.m. Tickets are $5 for adults, and children ages 7 to 12 are $3.
