Tenants at Goodhope Place enjoy an Easter luncheon

Goodhope Place Apartments tenants were treated to an Easter luncheon provided by the complex. They enjoyed food and fellowship. The menu included spaghetti and garlic toast and drinks. Jason Frey & Lagniappe at Liberty Saturday

The “Rendez-vous des Cajuns” Cajun Music Radio & TV show Saturday at the Liberty Center at 6 p.m. will feature a performance by Jason Frey & Lagniappe.
Show starts at 6 p.m. The Liberty opens at 4 p.m.
Tickets are $5.
Starting at 10 a.m. at the Jean Lafitte, children can participate in arts and crafts, all free of charge.

Church Point Ag, CASA partner to build children's Noah's Ark

The Church Point High School Ag Department partnered with CASA of St. Landry-Evangeline for a community service fundraiser project.
Agriculture students, who range from sophomores to seniors, are under the direction of Alyssa Stelly and Lyle Guidry. They started building a Children's Noah's Ark Playhouse at the end of January and recently completed the 18' x 8' structure. They enjoyed working diligently on it everyday.

Mayor Fontenot signs Proclamation of National Junior Auxiliary

Junior Auxiliary of Eunice celebrated National Junior Auxiliary Week, April 2-8. The annual celebration is a time to pause and thank the community, sponsors and volunteer members who work so hard year-round to make a positive difference.
The week began with the second annual Junior Auxiliary Easter Egg Hunt which had over 75 children gather at the Circle Park for games and activities and a meeting with Mayor Scott Fontenot to have the 2017 proclamation signed.
