Business Yard of the Month chosen

The Eunice Bulb & Blossom Garden Club presented its marker as Business Yard of the Month to Front Page Fades & Styles Barber Shop located at 301 Laurel Ave. Owner is Phillip Isaac Jr. The two front landscaped flowering beds features Indian Hawthorns, agapanthus, day lilies, and Society garlic.

Eagle Scott Thompson completes project

Brennon Thompson of Troop 430 in Eunice completed his Eagle Scout project in June. His project was to design and paint checker/chess boards at St. Edmund School which is the charter organization for Troop 430.

Forest Huval at Liberty Saturday

The “Rendez-vous des Cajuns” Cajun Music Radio & TV show Saturday at the Liberty Center at 6 p.m. will feature a performance by Forest Huval & Friends. Show starts at 6 p.m. The Liberty opens at 4 p.m. Tickets are $5 for adults, and children ages 7 to 12 are $3.

Registration dates, open house posted at Eunice schools

Open houses, registration dates and time at Eunice schools are listed below. Open house at Highland Elementary will be Aug. 3 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Early registration for kindergarten-fourth grades will be held July 31 from 9 until 11 a.m. inside the school’s cafeteria.

AgCenter receives LIFT2 grants to refine research projects
