The mayor of Eunice Scott Fontenot paid a visit to a group of fifth-graders at Central Middle School during a kick off of the middle school’s newest “Navigating Futures.” The students had the opportunity to ask the mayor about his job duties, his best part of his job, his difficulties he faces as mayor, and etc. Jake Fontenot, right, is one of the fifth-grade teachers at Central Middle.

New at Central Middle School, 'Navigating Futures'

Something new is happening at Central Middle School, “Navigating Futures at Central.” Navigating Futures’ purpose and intentions is to create an increased “camaradie” among students and staff in promoting “buy-in” and building social and academic capacity for increased self-esteem.
