Gently used uniforms offered at Eunice High

Lauren Mire, and Justice James, juniors at Eunice High School, are in the gently used donated uniforms classroom during the high school’s registration. Graduated seniors from the class of 2017 donated uniform tops and bottoms to the school for those students in need.

Garden of the Week selected

The residence of Dominic and Vanessa Brown at 650 Great Slave received the marker of Residential Yard of the Week presented by volunteer member Thuy Reber of the Eunice Bulb & Blossom Garden Club.

St. Edmund represented at National FBLA

St. Edmund High recently had two students, Ben Vidrine, left, and Ethan McDavid, qualify to represent Louisiana FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) at the National Conference held in Anaheim, California.

Birth Announcements

Georgia Hannon Brian and Kayley Hannon of Eunice announce the birth of their daughter, Georgia Kate Hannon, born at Acadian Medical Center on July 12 weighing 8 pounds and 3 ounces. Maternal grandparents are Scott and Cindi Detraz of Eunice.

Steve Riley at Liberty Saturday and Swamp Pop will perform Sunday

The “Rendez-vous des Cajuns” Cajun Music Radio & TV show Saturday at the Liberty Center at 6 p.m. will feature a performance by Steve Riley & The Mamou Playboys. The show will last until 8 p.m. Tickets are $15 at the door for general admission. On Sunday, from 4 to 7 p.m.

Fontenot, Vidrine exchange vows during Nuptial Mass ceremony

St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice was the setting for the evening ceremony uniting Aungelle Leah Fontenot and Trent Collins Vidrine in Holy Matrimony. The Nuptial Mass ceremony was held on Friday, May 26 at 7 p.m.

A Crocodile StoryTime hour at library

Children’s librarian Bobbie Bordelon read a storybook, “Little Croc’s Purse,” by Lezzie Finlay during Wednesday’s StoryTime hour. Children also had the opportunity to make a crocodile craft and ate cookies for their snack. Door prizes of crocodile cups were given away.
