Survivorman event at Acadian Baptist Center

Do you know how to get back to civilization? What do you do if you are lost? How can you avoid being lost in the city? Acadian Baptist Center of Eunice will present a two-day event, Survivorman, on Sept. 15 and 16th for boys first-through sixth-grade and their dads and grandfathers.

As a processional tradition of the statue of Mary, St. Edmund football team members and spirit groups walked Friday and transported the Statue of Mary from the school’s campus, to Vine Street, and to the Blue Jay field in order to place Mary in her grotto for the 2017 football season.

Jay Cormier & Cajun Born at Liberty

The “Rendez-vous des Cajuns” Cajun Music Radio & TV show Saturday at the Liberty Center at 6 p.m. will feature a performance by Jay Cormier & Cajun Born. Show starts at 6 p.m. The Liberty opens at 4 p.m. Tickets are $5 for adults, and children ages 7 to 12 are $3.

Finding balance with extracurricular activities

Now that school is in session, your child, teen or college student may become involved in extracurricular activities. This is great for the student and will teach them important life lessons.
