Tenants at Goodhope Place enjoy bingo

Goodhope Place Apartments residents enjoyed a game of bingo provided by Michelle DeRouen, patient care rep/marketer for Eunice Community Home Health. DeRouen also had a nurse to perform blood pressure check ups.

Garden of the Week selected

The home of Clark and Dayna Lafleur at 2499 Perchville Road received the Eunice Bulb and Blossom Club’s Residential Yard of the Week marker. Volunteer Fran Guillory chose the recipient.

This week’s Student of the Week is Lainey Cormier, a sixth-grader at Central Middle School. Her father is Bryan Cormier. If you had to live in another part of the world, where would you want to live and why? I would like to live in Florida because their beaches and houses are nice.

John David Kandy and Joey David of Phoenix, Arizona announce the birth of their son, John Wallace David, born at Honor Health Scottsdale Osborn in Scottsdale, Arizona on July 21 weighing 7 pounds and 9 ounces. Maternal grandparents are Sandy and Jimmy Ware of Eunice.

Sheryl Cormier at Liberty Saturday

The “Rendez-vous des Cajuns” Cajun Music Radio & TV show Saturday at the Liberty Center at 6 p.m. will feature performance by Sheryl Cormier & Cajun Sound. Show starts at 6 p.m. The Liberty opens at 4 p.m. Tickets are $5 for adults, and children ages 7 to 12 are $3.

Leaders Building Leaders City Wide Harvey Supply Drive set

Leaders Building Leaders will sponsor a City Wide Harvey Supply Drive for flood victims in Houston from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. Sept. 9 at the City Hall. The public is encouraged to give and help those in need.
