This week’s Student of the Week is Justice James, a junior at Eunice High School. Her parents are Whitney and Sherada James. If you had to live in another part of the world, where would you want to live and why? I would like to live in England, because my mom is from there.

CROWLEY – The 2017 Rice Festival Honoree, Dr. Rustum Ernest Girouard, Jr. better known as “Ernest”, and 2016 Rice Festival Queen AnnaLisa Meredith will be honored at the 81st International Rice Festival Queen’s Ball and Honoree Cocktail Party as announced by Suzy Webb, festival president.

Troy LeJeune at Liberty Saturday

The “Rendez-vous des Cajuns” Cajun Music Radio & TV show Saturday at the Liberty Center at 6 p.m. will feature performance by Troy LeJeune & Cajun Revue. Show starts at 6 p.m. The Liberty opens at 4 p.m. Tickets are $5 for adults, and children ages 7 to 12 are $3.
