Don Fontenot at Liberty Saturday

The “Rendez-vous des Cajuns” Cajun Music Radio & TV show Saturday at the Liberty Center at 6 p.m. will feature a performance by Don Fontenot & Friends of Louisiana. Show starts at 6 p.m. The Liberty opens at 4 p.m. Tickets are $5 for adults, and children ages 7 to 12 are $3.

St. Thomas More Fall Fest set for Sept. 22

The annual St. Thomas More Catholic Church Fall Festival is set for Sept. 22 to 24. The carnival fair ride armbands continues, selling for $40, and will end at 3:30 p.m. Sept. 21. The family-oriented fun event begins Sept. 22, from 6 to 10 p.m. On Sept. 23, the festival will open from 10 a.m.

Join Arbor Day Foundation and receive 10 free trees

Everyone who joins the Arbor Day Foundation in September will receive 10 free trees as part of the Foundation’s Trees for America program. Through Trees for America, everyone is encouraged to plant trees, which benefit the environment and improves quality of life.

Travel safely with your pets

Pets are our love. Sometimes our dogs love to ride in our vehicles with us. As a granny to Rufus, a mixed breed chihuahua and pug, I know for a fact when anyone says, “Let’s go for a ride,” he’s waiting immediately at the door to ride.
