Graduation is right around the corner and much is needed ahead of time for the newspaper’s special graduation edition.
Eunice High and St. Edmund seniors are to email their senior bios.
Information entails: Name, school, parents’ name, home phone number, activities (include years involved), awards at school and plans after graduation.

Samual Hebert competes in National Quiz Bowl in Houston

Samual Hebert began a three-month span of competing on the National Quiz Bowl Stage April 8 in the Texas Invitational VIII Quiz Bowl Tournament in Houston, Texas at Strake Jesuit.
Hebert and two other Louisiana students, one from Jesuit of New Orleans and the other from Lusher Charter in New Orleans, plus a Strake Jesuit student originally from New Orleans competed as the “ Louisiana Pelicans.

Class Act Student of the Week

This week’s Student of the Week is Lauren Mire, a sophomore at Eunice High School. Her mother is Gina LaGrange.

If you had to live in another part of the world, where would you want to live and why? I would like to live in Europe.

Do you have a career wish? I would like to major in math and work for a petroleum company.

What could you eat seven days a week? Pizza.

What could you never eat? Apples.

What is your favorite school subject and who is your favorite teacher? My favorite subject is math, and my favorite teacher is Jade Fontenot.

Regional science fair winner

Cole Broussard, a seventh-grader at St. Francis School, entered his science project Energy Physcial and placed first at his school. He advanced to parish and placed first in his division and first overall. At the regional fair he placed first and now he advances to the state science fair.
