Broussard at Liberty Saturday

The “Rendez-vous des Cajuns” Cajun Music Radio & TV show Saturday at the Liberty Center at 6 p.m. will feature a performance by Donnie Broussard & the Louisiana Stars. Show starts at 6 p.m. The Liberty opens at 4 p.m. Tickets are $5. Starting at 10 a.m.

Huckaby, Guidry announce engagement

William and Angela Huckaby of Eunice are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Lydia Ann Huckaby, to Casey Gerard Guidry, son of Carol and Cathy Guidry of Eunice. Miss Huckaby is the granddaughter of Elsie Besse and the late Dave Besse Jr.

FBC Women’s Ministries gives to ECHC

First Baptist Church of Eunice Women’s Ministries held a Garage/Yard Sale on March 18 with all proceeds going to the Eunice Community Health Clinic. Receiving a check of $2,500 is Jennifer Creswell, a volunteer nurse practitioner at the clinic.

A Discovery Dome Magic at St. Edmund

St. Edmund Elementary, second through fifth-graders, had the opportunity to enter a dome and discover science. On March 21 courtesy of the Louisiana Science & Art Museum, a Discovery Dome Magic tree house educational activity was displayed in the elementary gymnasium.

A Champion livestock student at St. Francis

Emily Zaunbrecher, a sixth-grade student and 4-H member at St. Francis School participated in the recent state Livestock Show in Gonzales. Emily competed with two of her lambs. She placed Champion Jr. Showman, Grand Champion Market Lamb, Reserve Champion Louisiana Bred and Market Lamb overall.
