Sawyer Israel Melaina Reed and Jacob Israel of Mamou announce the birth of their son, Sawyer Knox Israel, born at Acadian Medical Center on Feb. 28 weighing 7 pounds and 12 ounces. Maternal grandparents are Melissa and Manny Dunlap and Byron and Nina Reed of Mamou.

The Kings of Cajun Accordion Liberty Saturday

The “Rendez-vous des Cajuns” Cajun Music Radio & TV show Saturday at the Liberty Center at 6 p.m. will feature performances by The Kings of Cajun Accodions, featuring Joel Sonnier, Walter Mouton, Andrew Cormier and Wayne Toups. Show starts at 6 p.m. The Liberty opens at 4 p.m. Tickets are $5.

Supporters of the Year named at St. Francis

Kohen Ware Bradly and Kristen Ware of Oakdale announce the birth of their son, Kohen Hayes Ware, born at Acadian Medical Center on Feb. 22 weighing 7 pounds and 15 ounces. Maternal grandparents are Catina and Dwayne Hebert of Basile. Paternal grandparents are Kim and Jerry Ware of Oakdale.

New face at Central Middle

There is a new face on campus at Central Middle School, Detective Joshua Courville. Courville, of the Eunice Police Juvenile division, has been assigned to work with Eunice area schools, and Central Middle School.

Class Act Student of the Week
