Maverick Mayon Keaira Davis and Joseph Mayon of Oakdale announce the birth of their son, Maverick Ray Mayon, born at Acadian Medical Center on Sept. 4 weighing 8 pounds and 6.4 ounces. Maternal grandparents are Catherine Captain of Elizabeth and Anthony Davis of Oakdale.

Few foods may be as versatile as chicken. There is seemingly no end to the ways to cook and serve chicken, which is even an integral component in soups used to combat the common cold. The taste of chicken is enough to compel people across the globe to include it in their diets.
