Americans celebrate Independence Day every July 4. The holiday has become synonymous with summer fun, as grand fireworks displays and backyard barbecues are integral components of many people’s July 4 celebrations.

Eunice Recreational Tennis Camp

The Eunice Recreational Department offered a Tennis Camp this week, from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m., Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at the Eunice Tennis Courts at the Fairgrounds.

Summer Surge at New Hope Fellowship

New Hope Fellowship in Eunice held its Summer Surge, formally VBS, this week, from Monday to Thursday morning. Children, ages 4-12, had an opportunity and fun times during the camp as they learned Bible songs and stories, games, activities, arts and crafts and enjoyed a snack each morning.

On Tuesday morning, children were having fun with indoor activities, such as drawing, games, building blocks, puzzles and reading. There’s a free Kids Summer Camp going on now until Aug. 9 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Southeast Community Center, located at 101 City Drive, in Eunice.
