The Charlene Richard Foundation announces the date of the annual Mass marking the 63rd Anniversary of the death of Charlene Marie Richard, Servant of God.

Qualifying continues through Friday at the Delta Grand Building, 120 S. Market St., Opelousas, for the Nov. 8 election that includes City of Eunice positions.
Hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. through Friday.

CFMA Scholarship to be awarded
CFMA (Cajun French Music Association) Acadiana Charter Chapter will be awarding a $500 scholarship starting with the fall semester, $250 per semester.
The Acadia Parish Police Jury and local emergency planning committees are sponsoring a Household Hazardous Waste Day from 8 a.m. to noon Aug. 6.
The Rev. Nicholas “Nick” Ware is a new priest at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. His official first day at the church was July 4.
