Rayne Rotary Club, City holding ‘Comedy Night’ Thursday

The Rotary Club of Rayne, the City of Rayne and title sponsor Complete Turf Care are bringing genuine, family-friendly Cajun humor to Rayne. The inaugural Cajun Comedy Night will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Rayne Civic Center featuring the stand-up comedy of Jonathan “JP” Perry.

STEAM Innovation Center is a major project for LSUE

LSUE’s STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Agriculture and Mathematics) Innovation Center a major project. In addition to the $3.25 million in federal funding, LSUE Chancellor Nancee Sorenson said $27.5 million in state funding is in the works to renovate the oldest building on the campus.

Belly Buddies Color Fun Run set April 13 There will be a Belly Buddies Color Fun Run in downtown Eunice from 10 a.m. until noon on April 13. All proceeds will go to Belly Buddies, a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide food to Eunice’s most vulnerable students.

Prairie Acadian Cultural Center plans April programs

The Prairie Acadian Cultural Center is scheduling programs in Eunice this April. All programs are free and open to the public. Moi, Toi, et Lui is scheduled from 1 to 2 p.m. April 13 at the Eunice Depot Museum, 220 S C C Duson St., Eunice.
A planning meeting of the Carron Cemetery Family Alliance  (CCFA) was held at the Eunice Depot Museum on March 21.  Attending, from left, were  were Don Fuselier, Diane Martel Bihm, CCFA treasurer, and standing, from left, were Margrett McGee Fels, administrator, with Norma Zeigler of Baton Rouge. Founded 14 years ago, the CCFA is an all-volunteer family group tasked with the maintenance and preservation of the historical Carron Cemetery.
