UL Lafayette mourns first lady and ‘greatest cheerleader,’ Gail Savoie

The University of Louisiana at Lafayette is mourning the loss of its First Lady.   Gail Heinbach Savoie, the wife of UL Lafayette President Joseph Savoie, passed away on Sunday following an extended illness. She was 67 years old.   In a statement to the campus, Dr.

The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine has tapped the University of Louisiana at Lafayette’s Dr. Heather Stone for a role in its “In Times of Crisis: Stories from the Gulf of Mexico” film project.

Drew Miller has served as manager for the Eunice Airport for the past 38 years and on Wednesday he spoke about the airport’s history at the Eunice Rotary Club. Miller is a 1967 Eunice High School graduate, attended LSUE, and a graduate of Louisiana Tech where he earned a business marketing degree.
