Methodist pastor to serve Eunice, Opelousas churches

First United Methodist Church in Eunice welcomed its new pastor, the Rev. Katie Glass, who performed her first service there on July 4. Glass, 27, is from Pineville. Her first post was serving as an associate pastor at First United Methodist Church in Alexandria.

Sales tax revenues continue to be strong

Ribbon-cutting to greet doctor

Dr. Hank Cambron did the honors to cut a ribbon at Louisiana Family Practice, 151 Hill St., Eunice, at noon Tuesday. Cambron, a family practitioner, joins Kim Bellon, FNP-C, next to him, at the facility operated by Acadian Medical Center.

Eunice Community Concert Band and Choir is like family

When the Eunice Community Concert Band and Choir performs today and Friday for the musicians contacted the experience is a family one. Sonya Castille started with the band in 2012. “The phrase is ‘just come to one concert and you’ll see,’” said the clarinet player from New Iberia.
