LSUE earns praise as board meets on campus

The LSU Board of Supervisors met Friday on the LSUE campus possibly for the first time since 2005. Stephen Perry, board member, who said he had never been to the campus, called the visit an eye-opener.

Arson, burglary discovered

A house fire at 141 South Aymond is being investigated as a burglary turned into an arson, according to Brandt Thompson, state Fire Marshal deputy chief. The fire was reported at 1:39 p.m. Tuesday and by 3:59 Fire Chief Mike Arnold was contacted that it was possible arson and burglary.

Survey finds Eunice a tad more littered

An annual survey of litter in Eunice found the city a bit worse off this year than in previous years, according to Donna Baltakis, Keep Eunice Beautiful director. Baltakis delivered the report at Tuesday’s Board of Aldermen meeting at the Eunice Municipal Complex.
