Savoy Swords Water System adding a new water well

The Savoy Swords Water System has been awarded a $913,000 loan from the Louisiana Department of Health’s Drinking Water Revolving Loan Fund (DWRLF) program to construct a new water well for residents, according to a news release.

Dr. Ned Fruge tells his 53-year vet story

Dr. Neddrick (Ned) Fruge has been a veterinarian for 53 years and he has no intentions of retiring. He is 1966 Eunice High School graduate and a 1972 graduate of Texas A & M Veterinarian School. He has seen it all in his past 50 years. He has made house calls for farmers, with horses and cattle.

Annual dues for upkeep at Langley Cemetery Langley Cemetery, located in the northwest corner of Acadia Parish, is a quiet peaceful final resting place for generations dating back to early settlers in the area. The maintenance and upkeep are expensive.
