St. Mathilda BBQ dinner fundraiser set The annual St. Mathilda Catholic Church BBQ pork or chicken dinner fundraiser will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, April 27 at the Bishop Ceaser Center. A donation of $12 will be accepted.

From the Bulb and Blossom Garden Club Crepe myrtles bloom on new growth, so pruning should be done before new growth starts in February or March. Due to the recent heavy freeze Eunice experienced; it would be a good idea to see if the plant is still alive.

The 20th Dewey Balfa Cajun & Creole Heritage Week begins Monday with a program at the Prairie Acadian Cultural Center in Eunice. In partnership with Balfa Week, the Center is offering cooking and singing programs in French from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The program at the Center continues from 7 to 10 p.m.
