ATM stolen for Turkey Creek convenience store on U.S. 167

The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to an alarm activation at 2 a.m. June 20 located at the Bayou One Stop, 4730 U.S. 167 North, in the Turkey Creek area and found the front door to the business was destroyed and the ATM was removed.

$1K school pay raise advances

A $1,000 across-the-board pay raise for St. Landry Parish public school employees advanced out of committee Tuesday to the full School Board meeting in July. If approved, the starting pay for a teacher would rise to $43,000.
