CDA meeting set for January 6 Court Eunice, 208, Catholic Daughters of the Americas will have a meeting at 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 6 in the Jeanmard Hall on North 3rd. Current members are urged to attend and bring a non-perishable food item to assist in re-stocking the Eunice Food Bank.

Evangeline Economic Development Authority holds organizational meeting

The newly created Evangeline Economic Development Authority held its inaugural meeting on Monday, Dec. 16, and elected officers.

A bee feeds on a camellia on the St. Landry Parish Courthouse grounds on Wednesday. The temperature was in the 70s and it was mostly sunny in a day that felt like spring. Around 5 p.m. showers started and temperatures returned to a winter-like upper 40s Thursday morning.

The following obtained marriage license from the St. Landry Parish Clerk of Court Office. Wednesday, Dec. 11 Shawn Allen Finch and Hattie Marie Savoy, both of Opelousas. Thursday, Dec. 12 Joshua Lee Ryder and Erin Lynn Kaiser, both of Krotz Springs.
