Early voting continues on Saturday Early voting for the Dec. 7 election continues through Saturday, excluding Thanksgiving and Friday, which is observed as Acadian Day, according to Byron Stelly, St. Landry Parish registrar of voters. Voting hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Administrative law professor Nick Bryner drew the ire of the governor for calling on students who voted for Donald Trump because they like his policies, and not him personally, to prove it through their actions. Landry posted a video of Bryner’s comments on social media last week.

Dry early fall affecting pecan quality for some producers

LSUE, LSUA launch Surgical Technology Program partnership

ALEXANDRIA — LSU Eunice and LSU Alexandria unveiled its surgical technology partnership with a ribbon cutting ceremony in downtown Alexandria on Nov. 22. The two universities welcomed several local dignitaries and organizations with a tour of the LSUE satellite facility in central Louisiana.
