Eunice Police arrests

The following are arrests by Eunice Police. May 24 Juvenile, 15, Eunice. Simple arson. Louisiana State Fire Marshal arrest. Willie Adolph Jones, 28, 200 block of Armide Street, Eunice. Unauthorized use of a movable. Dexter Mayes, 32, 300 block of South Anderson Street, Washington.

Basile police not paid

The payroll for the Basile Police Department was unable to be paid on May 24 due to the lack of funds in the budget, according to Basile Mayor Mark Denette. Only Police Chief Ivory was compensated for the past two weeks period.

St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office arrests

The following are arrests reported by the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office. May 24 Nathan Slade Perry, 37, 3900 block of Highway 357, Opelousas. Bench warrant (4 counts), off bond (2 counts). Arrested by St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office. Jose Lopez, 38, 500 block of Bernice Street, Eunice.

Dula Josephine Courville Johnson passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2019 at the age of 93. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Quirk and Son Funeral Home in Eunice. Deacon Gary Gaudin will officiate. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Eunice.
