Eunice Mardi Gras band schedule

The City of Eunice released its Mardi Gras Festival bands lineup. All live entertainment will be held at the stage located at Walnut and South 2nd streets. Bands will include: Sunday 10 a.m. Ryan Simon & Acadien. 12:30 p.m. Kegan Navarre & Louisiana Traditions. 4 p.m. Horace Trahan & Ossun Express.

Sunday's Eunice Little Mardi Gras parade moved up to noon

Due to weather forecast of rain on Sunday, The Eunice Little Mardi Gras run is still on, However their arrival at Second Street in Eunice will be between 11:45 a.m. and noon, and not the original set time of 3 p.m.

Crime Stoppers tip leads to arrest of man in Basile case

According to Chief Allen Ivory Jr. of the Basile Police Department, “Jeramie Brown who was wanted on numerous charges from his office has been arrested with the help of St. Landry Crime Stoppers and several law enforcement agencies.” The charges stem from a Feb. 12 domestic violence complaint.
