Louisiana State University Eunice has announced that Audwin Donatto has been recently named the Vice Chancellor of Business Affairs, and Dr. Charles Stewart has been named Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs.

By Bobby Ardoin Eunice News Correspondent Although it was not a topic for discussion, St. Landry Parish council members on Wednesday night received their first glimpse of a completed 2025 budget that currently indicates the parish could avoid an overall annual net operating fund loss .

Taster’s Choice event set for Wednesday

The 15th annual Taster’s Choice will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11, at the Mumphrey Center on LSUE campus. The public is promised great different varieties of food, live music, a silent and live auction.

McManus dies at 87

Long-time City of Eunice attorney Vernon McManus has passed away. He was 87. In 2011, late Mayor Claud “Rusty” Moody recommended McManus’s appointment as the attorney for the city. McManus succeeded Jacque Pucheu as city attorney.

Parade of Paws set for Feb. 15 The Parade of Paws this year will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 15 at LakeView Park & Beach, located at 1717 Veterans Memorial Highway, Eunice. There will be no entry fees to participate. There will be no judges, and no prizes.
