May 20

A two-vehicle wreck occured at the intersection of U.S. 190 East and St. Mary Street at about 1:37 p.m. Thursday. According to Eunice Police Sgt. Joey Fontenot, the accident occurred when a GMC Yukon heading south on North St.

A ordinance intended to protect parish roads from damage by utility companies may be brought to the St. Landry Parish Council in June.

One woman’s quest to buy dilapidated property from St. Landry Parish may be nearing a conclusion.
At Wednesday’s Parish Council meeting, Jennifer Cravins, of Lawtell, returned to inquire about a dilapidated and abandoned house.
