The following are arrests reported by the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office. February 7 Jacob John Greene, 30, 900 block of Raymond Street, Opelousas. Third degree rape. Arrested by Opelousas Police. Eric Jerone Guillory, 45, 700 block of Raymond Street, Opelousas. Theft of a firearm.

EUNICE–It is with heavy hearts that the family of Susan Fruge announces her passing on Sunday, February 5, 2023, at Eunice Manor at the age of 63 after a short battle with cancer. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 6 p.m.

Beulah Mae Bertrand Davidson

Beulah Mae Bertrand Davidson passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2023 at the age of 87. A Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at Quirk & Son Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Bertrand Cemetery in Prairie Rhonde.

Some elected officials and Town employees of Grand Coteau did not pay their utility bills or made late payments without being cut-off or assessed a late fee, according to one of 11 audit findings for the Town of Grand Coteau.
