Hope is all we have in this world

I’m filled with a renewed sense of hope all of the sudden. Truthfully, I don’t know why I feel such hopefulness. Last Friday I went to the hospital to have a hernia surgically repaired.

LSU Eunice awards 161 degrees

Louisiana State University Eunice awarded 161 degrees during Commencement Ceremonies on Friday at the LSU Eunice HPRE Center. LSUE honored students whom graduated in both the Summer 2022 and Fall 2022 semesters.

LSUE releases Chancellor’s List

Louisiana State University Eunice has named 410 students to the Fall Semester 2022 Chancellor's List in recognition of their academic achievement. To be eligible for the Chancellor’s List, a full-time student must maintain a 3.5 grade-point average on a 4.0 scale during the semester.

Pistol misfires, shoots 3

Gun rights proponents often say guns don’t shoot people, people shoot people. Well, Eunice Police responded to an incident on Friday about a 9mm semi-auto pistol that shot three people.

Edwards to seek exceptions for rape, incest in Louisiana’s abortion ban 

Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards announced at his annual end of year press conference Monday that he will ask legislators to add exceptions for rape and incest to Louisiana’s abortion ban.

Take precautions for coming arctic blast

It’s official — winter is here! And with it comes many questions about protecting landscape plants, pipes and pets during the cold months of December, January and February. According to the National Weather Service, a considerable change in the temperatures can be expected by Friday and Saturday.
