Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) is aware that the current license system does not allow individuals to renew their license until the moment it expires. We are in the process of making updates to the system to allow individuals to buy before expiration.

Additional days for Sherburne WMA waterfowl lottery hunts

The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) has added additional weekday (Tuesday and Thursday) opportunities to the current online Sherburne WMA General Waterfowl Lottery. LDWF is offering the hunts three days per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries enforcement agents cited a Turkey Creek man for alleged turkey hunting violations on March 25 in Evangeline Parish. Agents cited Darwin W. Nelson, 43, for hunting turkey over a baited area and contributing the delinquency of a juvenile.
