The following are arrests by Eunice Police. June 27 Tiffany Marie Colligan, 34, 1800 block of Dudley Street, Eunice. Theft less than $1,000. Hannah Elizabeth Matte, 32, 1200 block of Bruce Street and 100 block of College Road, Eunice. Disturbing the peace and resisting an officer.

Police: Man said he was robbed and shot -- turns out he asked for it

A man who reported he was robbed and shot in Eunice actually asked to become a victim, Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot said. On June 13 26-year-old Michael Rung told police he was shot in the chest during a robbery as he returned to his residence in the 200 block of Jelk at about 2 a.m.

St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office arrests

The following are arrests reported by the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office. June 27 Shane Ceasar, 41, 300 block of South Martin Luther King Drive, Opelousas. Possession of schedule II CDS. Arrested by Opelousas Police. Deszerie Alexander, 33, 600 block of South Main Street, Opelousas.

The following are arrests by Eunice Police. Brent M. Babineaux, 55, 100 block of College Road, Eunice. Criminal trespass and disturbing the peace. Eddie Miller, 37, 1200 block of Rose Street, Eunice. Lafayette Parish warrant.

Trio arrested after mayhem in Crowley

A third arrest has been made in connection with an incident here Sunday in which a father and daughter allegedly beat the daughter’s estranged boyfriend. According to police, the victim also faces charges in the incident.

Dozens arrested in child porn sweep

Several suspects from Acadiana were arrested in a statewide child pornography bust, one of them charged with 100 counts of possession of child porn.

Church Point Police seek man wanted in shooting

Church Point police are seeking the public’s assistance to locate Curtis E. Guidry. Guidry is wanted for a shooting that occurred at the Martin Luther King Park in Church Point on May 23. Guidry is accused of firing several rounds at a vehicle occupied by two individuals.
