Eunice man charged with raping juveniles, transmitting STD

A 34-year-old Eunice man is charged with three counts of second-degree rape and sexual battery, and transmitting an STD to his victims, according to St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby Guidroz.

St. Landry Crime Stoppers seeks info on vandalism

St. Landry Crime Stoppers needs the public’s help in solving a case of vandalism. On May 19, deputies were dispatched to the 1400 block of Austin Road in Opelousas. The owner of a silver 2005 Mercedes and a blue 2003 Dodge truck reported that their windshields were vandalized.

‘Click It or Ticket’ to target seat belt violators through Memorial Day holiday

Law enforcement officers across Louisiana will be patrolling the highways during the Memorial Day holiday, issuing tickets to drivers and passengers who are not wearing their seat belts, according to the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission.

Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies are investigating multiple vehicle burglaries which occurred between May 16 to 19.

2 Opelousas teens arrested again for cruelty and theft of horses

The Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry Livestock Brand Commission arrested two juveniles for a second time in connection with cruelty and theft of two horses. The horses, valued at $5,000 each, were reportedly stolen in the 100 block of Grapevine Road near Opelousas.
