Search warrant yields $25,000 in cash, drugs, pistol

A search warrant served on the morning of May 2 by St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Narcotics Enforcement Team led to the seizure of $25,205 in cash, drugs and a pistol, according to Sheriff Bobby Guidroz in a news release.

Three individuals arrested for theft of several four-wheelers

Three individuals have been arrested in connection with a routine traffic stop that resulted in the recovery of several stolen four-wheelers. The suspects arrested on Friday were Bryce P. Fontenot, Daniel S. Johnson and Drake P. Lee. The traffic stop occurred on April 27th around 3:00 p.m.

Crowley woman sought for check fraud in Scott

Scott Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a Crowley woman wanted for writing checks on a closed account. Rhonda Roy, 40, is accused of writing a check for about $300 to a Scott business, even though the account was closed.

Chemical plant explodes, burns Thursday in Duson

DUSON - Explosions and a massive fireball at a chemical plant led to the closure of a long swath of Interstate 10 and the evacuation of businesses and residences here Thursday. The fire happened around 4 p.m.
