Rayne Police seek man for contracting fraud

Investigators with the Rayne Police Department need help in locating Clavern Adams, 50, of Abbeville, according to Crime Stoppers of Acadia. Adams is wanted for felony contractor fraud.

Louisiana State Police troopers discovered toward the end of 2017 that scammers were fraudulently using the authority of State Police in an effort to obtain money from victims.

Search warrant yields $25,000 in cash, drugs, pistol

A search warrant served on the morning of May 2 by St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Narcotics Enforcement Team led to the seizure of $25,205 in cash, drugs and a pistol, according to Sheriff Bobby Guidroz in a news release.
