Police to get 5 new patrol vehicles

Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot was given the green light by aldermen to lease-purchase five Chevrolet Tahoe police units. It’s the third time since Fontenot has been police chief that the city has approved a lease-purchase agreement for patrol vehicles.

A Crowley man has been sentenced to 30 years for stabbing two Acadia Parish Narcotic Agents in 2016. Jason Broussard, 44, was sentenced by 15th Judicial District Judge John Trahan to 15 years in prison on each of two charges of aggravated second-degree battery.
