Team Pitre takes lead in week 3

The third week of the fall season of Eunice Ladies Tennis League (ELTL) ended the evening with Team Pitre winning 22 points over Team Simoneaux’s 4 points. On Court 1, Team Pitre’s members Michelle Lafleur and Renee Johnson won 6-2, 6-4, against Carol Benoit and Heidi Dischler of Team Simoneaux.

Lady Jays off to solid start; Lady Cats struggling

It’s a tale of two seasons for the Eunice High and St. Edmund volleyball teams. The Lady Jays are off to a solid start in their 2025 season, currently sitting at 7-3 overall.

Eunice bad luck, slow start cost Bobcats in 22-16 loss

The Eunice Bobcats took a hard-luck loss against the rival Jennings Bulldogs last Friday, with a fluke fumble turning into a return for a touchdown for Jennings with under two minutes remaining and allowing them to escape with a 22-16 win.

St. Ed’s Jays dominate in Catholic Bowl 55-6

In their third appearance in the Catholic Bowl, the St. Edmund Blue Jays turned in another statement win, rolling over Sacred Heart (Muenster, Tex) 55-6 to remain unbeaten all-time in the event. The Blue Jay offense was efficient, explosive and, frankly, not on the field very long. St.

ELTL’s two teams tied on Week 2

The second week of the fall season of Eunice Ladies Tennis League (ELTL) ended the evening with Team Simoneaux and Team Pitre tieing it up with final scores of 14 to 14.

Team Pitre leads in EMTL

The EMTL (Eunice Men’s Tennis League) completed their week three of the fall season with Team Pitre winning 11-5 over their opponents of Team Ashford in the late match. In the early match, Team Moosa slid past Team D’Aubin with a final score of 7-6.

Lady Cats drop opener to OC

The Eunice High Lady Cats volleyball team lost a lot after last season. Losing their two best players to graduation and a head coach who was wildly successful isn’t easy.
