Blue Jays outlast Catholic-PC in overtime thriller, stay alive in district race

By Rhett Manuel Sports Editor In a game that had everything from long touchdown runs to late heroics, the St. Edmund Blue Jays outlasted Catholic-Pointe Coupee 52-50 in overtime Friday night at Blue Jay Field.
The EMTL (Eunice Men’s Tennis League) completed its week nine of the fall season with Team Moosa winning 9-5 over their opponents Team D’Aubin and in the other match Team Pitre won 10-3  over Team Ashford.

The EMTL (Eunice Men’s Tennis League) completed its week nine of the fall season with Team Moosa winning 9-5 over their opponents Team D’Aubin and in the other match Team Pitre won 10-3 over Team Ashford. On Court 1, Team Moosa’s members Chris Ardoin and Eric May won by forfeit.

ELTL Team Pitre takes lead in week 7

The seventh week of the fall season of Eunice Ladies Tennis League (ELTL) ended the evening with Team Pitre winning 14 points over Team Simoneaux’s 12 points. On Court 1, Team Pitre’s members Renee Johnson and Phyllis Hargroder won 6-1, 7-5 against Tracey Brown and Kacie West of Team Simoneaux.
