By Rhett Manuel Sports Editor EUNICE – St. Edmund didn’t waste any time asserting itself in its playoff opener Friday night, overwhelming Lincoln Prep 62–18 at Blue Jay Field in a game dominated by explosive runs, efficient passing and a relentless second-half surge that buried the Panthers.

LDWF agents investigating fatal boating incident in Beauregard Parish

Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries enforcement agents are investigating a fatal boating that occurred on Nov. 15 in Beauregard Parish. The body of John F. Lowe, 58, of Deridder, was recovered from Bundick Lake around 12:30 p.m. on Nov. 15. Agents were alerted at approximately 3 a.m.
