Darbonne signs with Ragin’ Cajuns

By Tom Dodge Sports Editor It was an exciting month for Hayden Darbonne and his family. The Bobcat baseball team advanced to the state semifinals where Darbonne belted a two-run home run at his final at-bat. Friday, Hayden was presented his high school diploma along with his senior classmates.

Ten Lady Jays named to District 6-1A list

By Tom Dodge Sports Editor It was an impressive season for District 6-1A softball as four of the six teams earned at least one win the Div. IV playoffs. No. 12 St. Edmund (14-15) grabbed its first playoff win in seven seasons with a 16-0 mercy-rule victory over No. 21 Central Private.

Lady Jay duo finishes strong at state meet

By Tom Dodge Sports Editor BATON ROUGE – It was a beautiful finish for one and a great start for another as St. Edmund’s Ellie Manuel and Aubrie Lejeune stood together on the podium after the girls’ javelin state competition was finished. Manuel, a senior, finished first with a throw 133.
