Shooting suspect found dead
Eunice Police report: The suspect in the Eunice shooting incident on Friday was found dead this morning at a residence in Eunice. Aaron Jones was found deceased by a family member due to an apparent suicide.

A shooting that occurred early Monday morning injured a 17 year old subject.
Effective immediately, the bridge on La. 3116, 0.9 miles north of La. 3123, will be closed for repairs until further notice, according to the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development.
Due to heavy storms causing possible hazardous road conditions and widespread flooding parish-wide, all schools and Head Start centers will dismiss early today.

A news conference announced the first person in St. Landry Parish had tested positive for the COVID-19 virus.
That was Thursday morning. By the afternoon a second person in the parish had tested positive for the virus.
Shortly before 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, the Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations was requested by Iota Police to investigate an officer involved shooting incident involving their department.
