Beginning Wednesday, the following City of Eunice buildings will be closed to
the public:
The Eunice City Hall at 300 South 2nd Street
The Eunice Library at South 2nd Street and Park Avenue
Three St. Landry Parish schools will prepare and distribute lunches for students while schools are closed because of the coronavirus outbreak, according to school officials. They are asking for volunteers to help with the distribution.
EUNICE - Shortly after 11:30 a.m. on Feb. 14, Troopers from Louisiana State Police Troop I began investigating a two-vehicle fatal crash that occurred on US Hwy 190 near LA Hwy 367 in St. Landry Parish.
Hi Keam Wilson, 17, of Lake Charles, was booked into the St. Landry Parish jail Wednesday in the connection with the fatal shooting of Scott Daville in December of 2018.

At a Friday press confrence St. Landry Parish District Attorney Earl Taylor announced that he has decided to step down as District Attorney as of February 1, 2020.
According to Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot, Lainey Lomas, 18, was the alleged driver in a drive by shooting near Central Middle School on Nov. 4 that left De’Omaante “D Gotti” Frank, 21, of Eunice, dead.
A fourth man has been booked in connection with an October shooting that happened at the Shell Station on West Laurel.
