Facts about St. Patrick's Day

Don’t forget to wear green Friday, it’s St. Patrick Day.
However, I found out after reading an article, courtesy of Newspaper Metro, that St. Patrick himself wore blue.
The color green is everywhere come St. Patrick’s Day, but celebrants may be surprised to learn that blue is the color that was once most affiliated with St. Patrick himself.

Life expectancy across the globe

After reading the following article, courtesy of Newspaper Metro, it got me thinking about age.
I’m blessed that my parents are still living and physically healthy. Dad is 86 and mom is 87. I hope and pray that I follow suit.

How to improve alertness at work

Do you find yourself falling asleep at your work desk during the day? Do you find yourself lacking energy during the afternoon work hours?

Facts about the month of February

The month of February is not just about Valentine’s Day, President’s Day, or, in Louisiana, Mardi Gras. After reading the following, courtesy of Newspaper Metro, I have learned interesting facts about the month of February.
Despite being the shortest month of the calendar year, February has an interesting history. Early calendars marked the start of the new year in March, but when the second king of Rome, Numa Pompilius, rose to the throne in 713 BC, he synchronized the calendar to the lunar year. That required the addition of January and February.
