It all comes down to this – undefeated Iota visits one-loss Eunice with the District 5-3A title on the line.
Eunice’s only loss on the season was a 22-20 loss to then undefeated Church Point, a team Iota would later defeat 15-12.
A Blue Jay win over Merryville tonight will seal a second consecutive District 4-A football title for St. Edmund.
The last time the Jays won-back-to-back district titles was in 2003-04.
The Blue Jays sealed a share of the District 4-1A title as St. Edmund rolled to a 49-12 win over Hamilton Christian.
PRAIRIE RHONDE – Eunice High remained in the District 5-3A title battle as the Bobcats earned a 37-14 road win over the Northwest Raiders.
The Bobcats got off to a fast start after receiving the opening kickoff.
Berwick defeated Patterson 35-21 in District 8-3A action Friday at the Sugar Dome at Patterson High.
RAYNE – Rayne High football fans know the Wolves a limited number of returning starters from last year’s semi-finalist squad. They have struggled with getting their rookies into the formation and help prevent two-way starters.

It is hard enough to play in District 6-2A, with the success that teams like Kinder, Welsh and Lake Arthur have had over the past five seasons.
The St. Edmund defense recorded its fifth shutout of the season against Grand Lake and the Blue Jay offense scored the second most points in program history in the 67-0 victory.
